Ruby

On Friday, January 21, 2023, Ruby joined Cookie and other old friends on this side of Rainbow Bridge. Ruby was a very special mare that has been with us for many years. She was loved it and she knew it, and when it was her time to go, she went very peacefully.

About Ruby

Ruby came to us from HPAF with a sad history. She was forced to live in a paddock with stallions and was pregnant when she was confiscated by the county. She lost her baby, and we promised her that she would never have to worry about being with stallions again. Ruby had a very thin coat and couldn’t stay in the sun as she burned very easily. She was a very sweet horse and was always most appreciative of the love, care and kindness she received. Ruby loved visitors, especially children, and welcomed everyone with her sweet whinnies.
