Anastasia

Anastasia is a 17 year old Percheron that stands at 17.2 hh. She was a nurse mare at an Ocala TB breeding farm. It takes a while for Annie to become comfortable with new people and surroundings, so it may take some time for her to learn to trust her new human. But once she does, she does. She does very well for her farrier that has been doing her feet for many years, but it did take some time for him to gain her trust. Annie has been ridden a little in the past, but she would spook easily and bolt. With the proper training and time, she may do well under saddle. That is something that would have to be explored with the right human. She is very sweet and really wants to please if given a chance. Manhandling her will only set her back in her trust issues. A relationship built from kindness, patience and consistency over time will get you a long ways with this beautiful mare.

Anastasia was adopted out many years ago but due to life changes, the adopter can no longer keep her and a new home is needed as soon as possible – we are currently full here at the rescue.
