Mishka was a stunning Percheron rescued in 2014 from a very bad situation. His personality truly fit the meaning of his name, Big Teddy Bear!

Mishka arrived very much underweight and he had sores all over his body, even in his ears. His teeth and feet were a mess. He was diagnosed with Equine polysaccharide storage myopathy (EPSM) which is a metabolic disease. With his special medical needs, Mishka was a permanent sanctuary horse here at Beauty’s Haven.

Mishka wass truly loved by many humans. Spending even a little time with him made your worries go away, at least for awhile. He enjoyed being a part of the Beauty’s Haven herd. One could truly hear the ground rumble when he thundered throughout the paddock. We miss him so much.
