Jiminy & Cricket

Jiminy, a 29 year old stud, and Cricket, a 32 year old mare, have been together most of all of their lives. Their previous owners reached out to us for help. They were in the hospital and could no longer care for the horses. When Theresa went to meet them and to assess their condition, she felt that they needed to be taken to the rescue sooner than later. They were underweight and in need of vet, dental, and farrier care.

We had been warned that they likely would not get on a transport trailer without a lot of encouragement. However, just before asking them to load, Theresa told them that they were going on a big adventure and they walked right in! It was sad that they were leaving behind the only home they had known, but their humans did the right thing in reaching out for help.

Jiminy and Cricket have had full veterinarian, dental and farrier care. They adore attention and will make a wonderful addition to a family looking for little ones to love on. Mini horses tend to live longer than horses – these two are spunky and can be rather comical.
