BH December 18th – 19th Update
I actually took out some time out to ride with Katie (our daughter) on Monday. It was a little chilly but it was nice, very nice.
Mollie – she’s looking good and has a bit more energy each day.
Check out HighTower – a really nice TB (he’s more like a QH stuck in a TB body!) that is available for adoption!
Rose getting her morning scratches. Yes, she has a blanket for almost every day of the week (not really but she does have a thin one, a medium weight one, and a heavy weight one).
Santana is a love. Seriously. He is like a horse magnet. That’s Bronson napping – why he would pick this spot to nap I have no idea. There were acres of grass and sand spots available – silly boy! And that’s Harvey standing with his head between the barn and water tub – that seems to be his favorite napping spot. CaryLou and Wally are behind Santana. And that’s little Lily off to the right. Ebony was standing next to me when I was taking the photo.
Matilda is so sweet. She’s put on about 175 lbs and is doing great. She sings beautifully!
Princess is feeling much better.
This is Duke – a GSD that is my shadow and guardian. Bob says that Duke "lives to protect me". I’ve never had a dog as attentive to me as Duke is – he’s just amazing and I love him dearly.
Cindy and her son, David, came to meet Garan and Ceri today and it was wonderful! They all clicked! Cindy got teary eyed, I got teary eyed, it was just "right."
The horses loved the attention today. If all goes well they will be in their new home just in time for Christmas! This is so bittersweet. But they deserve their own home – their own human. Cindy is experienced with Arabians – I’m so excited for everyone!
It’s truly been a blessing to have been able to help these two loving and beautiful horses and to be part of their life. Each one that comes into my life captures part of my heart. I prayed, so hard, that they would be able to stay together. I held on and believed. And so it is – God is good!
And lastly, we have hay! Two tons and one round roll to a total of $1090. We will need to order again in about a week. Thank you all for your support!
Sincerely,
Theresa

Hi darling. I haven’t written you in awhile. Too much happened in Vermont. Robert was complaining about pressure in his chest and as the week progressed he was getting winded with the smallest things. By our return date we were sure that it was impossible to fly without making him see a doctor. We called kaiser with the symptoms and they said he should have an EKG. Colin called his neighbor cardiologist over who interviewed Robert and decided he needed to go in immediately to be cathed. We got him into the hospital the next morning. He had a almost totally blocked artery. He would have had a heart attack in the plane or exerting himself in. Rushing to a plane. He had two stents placed. The doctor said he had to use his sharpest tool to get through the blockage. He had continued symptoms during recovery so we were afraid they needed to go back in. Now he seems to be better.
I am back. Joshua comes in tomorrow. Robert is staying with Colin and isabelle. If he is ready to fly he will leave with Colin on Monday morning. If not ready he will stay with isabelle. Our current plan is that he go to Los Angeles and recuperate at Colin’s Venice beach house on the canals. He can spend his days taking nice walks or sitting and reading on the beach. I am involved with the clinic through the 15 th. I will drive down to get him after.
The doctor comes across the street every evening to check on him. He I getting excellent care. You can imagine that this has turned my life upside down.
Love Yvette
