Betsy Rose & Celesta Monday Update 07/01/13

To start the day out with some great news – a barn fly mister system is being installed soon!
A big thank you to the wonderful people that are making this happen!

Celesta’s X-rays and blood work look good! Dr .Lugo gave the thumbs up to get out of the stall!

Betsy Rose’s road to recovery… I believe!

Meet Betsy Rose’s new best friend – a pony named Freckles!
Freckles was made with a lot of love and sent to Betsy Rose to keep her company and to encourage her to continue to believe!
Freckles and Betsy Rose struck up a conversation as soon as Freckles arrived – they are perfect pals!

Sincerely,
Theresa

It’s like Baby Girl all over again; I know they don’t have the exact same medical issues, but to see Baby Girl today is a MIRACLE!!! Praying Celesta recovers completely & is looking & running around like Baby Girl!! Celesta (there’s something about her just like there was w/ Baby Girl) is also a War Mare!!! I get paid again on July 12th (I was paid last Friday, June 28th, but I seem to have more bills @ the beginning of the month plus Jolly’s board was due & Darolyn found an ulcer (actually 2) that has been helping him with his slight back soreness. I think he needs to go back on the original ones (oh gosh, I was going to give you the names of the supplements but I left them in his file @ home & this dummy (me) cannot remember how to spell them. LOL! Anyway, the reason I want to switch back, is b/c it helped from him having anymore back soreness after being ridden.

He went to Canada over a month ago & a young lady (14 yrs. old) who is an excellent equestrian, rode him in a 50 mile endurance race & he placed 6th which was awesome b/c they had quite a few horses entered, but the coolest thing is Jolly was awarded “Best Condition” & had the highest vet score. Several weeks later, she competed on him again in Fort Howes, Montana & he won plus was awarded w/ “Best Condition” again. I just had to tell u this b/c when I 1st had him (he had just come off the Arabian track) his hooves were in terrible shape, he was lame & that front left hoof just kept developing an abscess. It took over a year (around 14-15 months) to get him sound again & @ one point (thank gosh it was caught in the beginning stages) during all this he developed a slight case of laminitis. Then there was the big Strangles epidemic (3/4th’s of the horses had to quarantined). I did call a vet out so she could kind of give him a boost to make him feel better, but as you know, you just have to ride it out.

That’s one of the reasons I’m short on cash; this ulcer supplement is around $250 per month but WELL WORTH IT!!

Anyway, can you possibly send me a reminder e-mail, text or call next Thurs.?

Thx, luv to all & praying for Celesta!!!
