Alyse update… Warning – Graphic at bottom

There are a couple of pictures at the end of this update that some may find graphic. Please do not scroll down if you don’t want to see it.

Alyse is no better. Her heart rate and respiration remain elevated and she is depressed. She truly does not feel well. The ulcers are horrible and Dr. Clark says she has never seen anything like this – they have done all sorts of tests. They are keeping her as comfortable as possible.

She’s being fed via tube. They are taking very good care of her. It’s very sad to see her feeling this way. She’s such a sweet girl.

I took her some Fibre-Beet today and she did slurp up most of it. Fibre-Beet is a great product! (http://www.emeraldvalleyequine.com/fibre-beet.cfm)

This is a small part of her upper lip taken a couple of days ago. The second picture is a lesion on her tongue – you can see a hole where the necrotic tissue is coming off.

Please keep Alyse in your prayers – thank you.

Sincerely,
Theresa
