Tonka was a 4 month old colt that was found severely neglected along with his mom, Dingolay, and another neglected Thoroughbred mare. We did all we could for Tonka but the effects of starvation had taken too much of a toll on his organs. We only had a few days with him but in those few days he came to know love and kindness. Tonka will live on in our hearts. We must continue in our work to be the voice for the horses in hopes of preventing more suffering at the hands of humans. For all of those that can’t speak for themselves, we carry on.
