Now going into October – Ambrosia’s loss is still fresh

She earned her wings on September 7th, 2012. I sent this out separate because I want to share the inside of a beautiful card that we recently received from her care team at UF. Ambrosia was loved and she knew it. She had a love for life that was larger than life itself.

And we all agree that she was quite the mare.

Sincerely,
Theresa

I still cannot wrap my mind around this mare being turned loose, starving and growing so ill with no care. Someone finally took her in, just a little too late. People must have seen her wandering about. Why didn’t somebody find her help sooner? We will never know. We do know this mare was kind, trusting and lovely, even in her sad condition. We prayed and rooted for her, and we loved her in our own way, from a distance. Sadly, all the love in the world couldn’t save Ambrosia and she was gently released from all her pain that day, and many hearts were broken. We may never know where she came from, nor why. I know that I will never forget her. She shared her story with us and this is a story that should never be forgotten. Rest in peace precious girl. <3
