January 4th – 5th, 2014 Update
I looked out the window yesterday morning to find CaryLou trying to unbuckle Santana’s blanket. It was so funny! Santana is so very patient. So now CaryLou has moved on to the back leg strap. LOL! These guys are so entertaining! Now Wally is joining in! A mini at each back leg pulling on the leg straps to his blanket!
Amy went to her new home yesterday – she will be a friend to another paint mini – a little gelding that is her same age!
Amy is very happy in her new home with her new friend!
Bella at her foster home – she’s doing very well! There’s no lime rock dust where she is now.
Remember Mystical? She is SO loved by her human family. She is doing great!
Mini long ears!
Look at those LONG ears! Matilda is so SWEET!
Betsy Rose today – look at her beautiful mane!
Victoria is so sweet and is looking great! Some rye grass has come up and it looks so nice! The paddocks were dragged yesterday and they look so nice!
CJ still needs a quiet home where he can just be a pasture pal.
Cookie got a hooficure today too. We’re going to have x-rays done of her front feet. She has had a lameness issue in the front right. Her left eye where the cancer was removed is still under observation and will be checked again soon by the vet.
Santana’s shoes were pulled and he got a hooficure today. Santana has navicular and had shoes when he came to rescue last month. Laura trimmed him and applied hoof wraps and support under the frog. Kim is holding Santana in the photo for Laura to work on him. When they turned Santana back out he felt better – he did what we all the "cricket dance" and took off! He is one of the sweetest horses you could hope to meet.
Sylvia serving Morgan breakfast! Morgan has a family coming to meet her in a few days.
Beauty is the foundation of Beauty’s Haven. It’s because of her that Beauty’s Haven came to be. She is my heart horse.
Sincerely,
Theresa
