Annual Open House event for everyone to come out to the rescue and meet the horses, donkeys and ponies face to face on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 11:00am to 3:00pm. You will be able to meet “Beauty” the horse that started it all, visit with Theresa and Bob who have dedicated their lives to helping so many equines (and a few other species) in need and hear many heartwarming stories about past and present miracles that have happened at the rescue. Here’s what we have planned :

- Each paddock will have bios on the gate for each horse inside so you can read their stories and get to know them. (Gates will be locked for everyone’s safety.)
- Adoption tent with information about adoptable equine and our adoption criteria.
- Merchandise tent with a variety of BHFER items personalized for purchase (shirts, hats, key chains, mugs, etc.) and the option for other personalized items to be ordered).
- Silent Auction
- Food truck
- Games
- A tent where you can learn about how you can help the horses and talk to someone about becoming a volunteer.
