Spirit is doing great! I have some exciting news to share about her on Friday!
Gentleman and Starbuck.
Penelope and Penny greeting Marie – little Penny is growing up!
Cisco is doing great and is ready for a forever home. Katie got on him bareback today while I rode Princess for a few minutes. Cisco would make a nice first horse for a beginner. He’s supposed to be a Haflinger cross but I’m not sure – but I can promise you he is a true sweetheart. He’s only about 14.1 hh and is 20 years young. He gets along with all of the other horses.
This is Missy – she was crowned Miss America on Halloween! She is beautiful and is doing very well in her training. She is looking for a forever home. Missy is a 5 year old TB that never raced. She is built like a tank!
This is a photo I will treasure always that was taken over two years ago. This is HighTower coaxing Baby Legacy (aka Legs) to drink his milk and in the background are Casper and Granny Jewels. Casper runs with Granny Jewels on the other side of Rainbow Bridge – we miss them terribly. Legacy recently celebrated his 3 year old birthday with his adoptive family! I remember the day I picked him up with Blodwyn, one of our volunteers. It was heartbreaking. His mom died of cancer the day before – he was standing over her trying to nurse. He was not a healthy baby and went septic. He got one on one around the clock care for the first 6 weeks he was with us and we almost lost him 3 times but we didn’t give up on him – he is living proof that miracles do happen!
We can’t thank Pat Schmoll of Broad Meadow Farm in Ocala for picking up and bringing us hay while Big Red (truck) is in the shop being repaired from being hit by Buck (a deer). Thank you Pat!
I have lots to update on but once again the day is almost over and there is still much to do. Have a great night everyone!
Sincerely,
Theresa

Volunteers don’t get paid, not because they’re worthless, but because they’re priceless!
