Update – Trio, E, and Hollie
Just a quick update. Little E is ok. He was bloated and gassy – he ever stopped passing manure but was clearly agitated and up and down until medication kicked in.
Hollie’s lungs have scaring – that we know from the ultrasound. Today was beautiful and I’m not sure why her respiration was up more than usual. She didn’t seem to be in any pain. Her temp was normal. We’re starting her on Ventipulmin to see if it helps.
The three new arrivals have settled in and they all seem content. They look like I feel though – tired. By watching the way they walk and carry themselves you can tell they have lost most fat and lots of muscle. Their road to recovery will take some time but at least they are here now and won’t have to worry about their next meal. And they will have warm blankets for the upcoming cold. They all have sweet faces with very kind eyes.
We really appreciate everyone’s support and I’d like to ask that you keep all of these horses in your prayers. Hollie has me concerned. I’m glad it isn’t hot and humid.

Holiday Trio, Hollie, and Little E
The trio is here and settled in. I’ll post more pictures later but we have a lot going on – Little E has decided to have a gas colic so I need to take care of him first. And Hollie is having a tough time breathing.
I will say that no donations have come in today to help with these three and that’s got me a little worried. But at least they are here and their road to recovery has begun.

Holiday Trio – on the way!
Noelle, the other mare, and the gelding are loaded and on their way to the rescue. Pam says they look bad – skin on bones. My stomach turned when I got the pictures a few minutes ago. I will post more once they are here and settled in. I still get pretty emotional when I see horses like this. I can’t help it – I find it very disturbing and it just touches my soul, deeply. But they found their way to us and these three, like Hollie, will now get what they need. Their rehab will be a slow process but we will do our very best to help them recover. Please pray for them – and please pray that needed resources come.
Please share with friends and family – their intake, rehab, and care is going to be costly. We need help to help them. Donations are tax deductible and no amount is too small. Oops – I learned my lesson this morning – scroll all the way down before acting! L The emaciated mare that is 1 of 3 horses we are picking up today that is said to be a retired barrel racer (she has been neglected more than once) is also on the Horse & Man list today – we’ve named her Noelle. Between them are two beautiful horses saved from euthanasia. Many thanks to Dawn for including Hollie and Noelle!

Urgent – Trio Needs Help – Christmas Save
I find myself reaching out to you all again for help. I got the call this afternoon – three horses are going to be sized by AC tomorrow if we don’t take them. The ACO told me they have been rescued in the past and here they are needing help again. I’ll be darned if they are going to be put into another bad or iffy situation! There are 2 QH’s and a Morgan. They are ages 8, 12, and 13.
Please help by becoming a foster for one or more of these horses – be it a onetime donation or a commitment to make a monthly donation to help. If anyone can help please email me ASAP with “Holiday Trio” in the subject line. Let’s pull together and help these horses to have the same chance Hollie got. Hollie is doing well. Her teeth were done today and she is quite amazed with her “new” mouth. We can’t help these horses without help from others. Donations are tax deductible and no amount is too small. Purina Rewards Coupons
Thank you to those that have forwarded me a link to your coupons but I can’t print them. I was able to print 2 today but that was it – we’ll use those bags up tomorrow. We go through 1.5 bags a day.
