Twilight Crossed Rainbow Bridge
1 am update: The little filly that I named Twilight has crossed Rainbow Bridge – she was just too far gone. In her final hours she knew she was loved. She knew kind and caring hands. I’m so sorry we couldn’t help her – she was just a baby – likely just over a year old.
She had IV fluids and the vet did all he could. She gave it her best and we prayed hard – but God called her home. She was so thin with many sores on her. She broke my heart. She will be buried on Frosty’s Knoll tomorrow.
I’m sorry but I have nothing else to say tonight. I’m just tired, very tired and very sad. Incredibly sad. It just doesn’t seem fair. She was so young and innocent. She didn’t deserve so much suffering.
Run with the angels dear Twilight – you fly with perfect wings now. While I knew you for only a short time – I love you and always will.

Our tears are shed again for the helpless, the voiceless souls who depend on man to help them survive in this world. You were there once more to give solace and comfort at the end. This is such an outrage. I had intended on sending you some money for Twilight in a week or so, cash is short right now. I will send it anyway to be used for another soul as I know they will find you, they always do.
I hope that you will be able to bear another heartbreak, I don’t know how you do it. There is a strength there that is awesome. I also hope that you will be able with the help of the neighbors and the authorities, to find out where Twilight came from and who is responsible for her horrible condition.

I’m so sorry, Theresa. I’m glad she was loved by you and felt the warmth of a human hand. I was praying that she could be saved. My heart breaks when I see something like this especially to a baby……may God hold her close to His heart and then smile as she runs in the most wonderful pasture of all.
Shedding tears of sadness but of gratefulness too that Twilight found the love & kindness of your gentle hands, Theresa. I know that you would have done all things possible to see this filly back to full, good health, but now she is running free with those who went on before her. I like to think that my Rodni was there to greet her & show her the ropes. We love you, Theresa.
Tears running down my face as I read this. Breaks my heart to see one so young die from such neglect. My heart goes out to you who cared so much for her. God bless you for all you do for the unfortunate ones that have suffered so at the hands of uncaring humans.
