Elyza Rose & A Chance to Win a Lovely Gift!

Recent tests have determined that Elyza Rose is Insulin Resistant with Cushings Disease. Her vet bill was $255 and her medication was $125. We are therefore, offering a very special fundraiser to help our sweet Elyza Rose.

Yertle the Turtle!

Introducing Yertle, one of our latest rescues that was found in one of our paddocks.

“All mine!” Yertle cried. “Oh, the things I now rule! I’m king of the ‘horses!’ And I’m king of a mule!” ~ Dr. Seuss

Needless to say, Yertle was not king of the horses for very long! We took him down the road to a safe pasture with a small pond as he surely, would have been trampled by the horses had he remained in the paddock.

“Mommy Theresa if you look at the time on your phone, I’ll bet it’s about a minute before lunchtime. That’s just enough time for you to get my lunch and be back here on time for the noon delivery!” Little E is one smart little horse!

Betsy Rose always enjoyed grazing in the morning sun. What a perfect day it was! We will forever be thankful for the time we had with her.

Match Game for Hay in Anticipation of Michael!

We spent much of yesterday preparing for the arrival of Hurricane Michael but thankfully, we did not receive the brunt of the storm. We had a few periods of high rain, heavy winds and some erosion.

Please keep those who were affected by the ravages of the hurricane, in your thoughts and prayers.

We do need to make a hay run, however, as we only have enough hay to last for two days.

We need a ton of 3 string orchard hay bales at $600 a ton and three 1/2 pasture bales at $300 each, which will go under the large shelters where the horses will stay during the heavy rains.

Lastly, we are thrilled to announce that six amazing friends and supporters have joined together to offer a MATCH GAME to assist with our hay needs. All donations up to $1,200 will be matched dollar for dollar. There is currently $590 still available in Matching funds.
