She’s always been a healthy Arabian. Today she is trying to colic. Dr. Ryan is on his way.

PLEASE PRAY FOR HER. She is my heart horse.

Theresa

The welcome committee when we went to pick them up this afternoon. J

The gelding was ready to go.

They both loaded just fine and seemed ready to leave for the start of the rest of their lives.

I think they are both settling in just fine. The mare is in pretty good shape and is also a very nice horse.

Dr. Ryan will be out in the morning for their vetting. Fabio will be out tomorrow afternoon to do their feet. It’s supposed to be a cloudy/rainy day but hopefully we’ll at least be able to get their manes and tails untangled. The gelding’s is very matted with sticker burrs in it.

PrimaBelle looks much better already. She’s a very sweet mare and will be a pleasant addition to her new family.

So, for tonight, all is better.

Sincerely,
Theresa

Some great news – Beauty’s Haven will benefit from the sale of the book “Ivory Pal: Born to Fly Higher!” written by Cindy McCauley!

We will receive a portion of the proceeds of books sold from January 1 through January 31! The website to buy the book is: http://www.ivorypalbook.com/

This morning we went to check on the 2 horses and the gray gelding was up and about but still not looking like he feels well. I’ve been making calls and trying to figure out a way to bring them in. We can’t leave the gelding there knowing he doesn’t feel well. And I can’t leave the 3rd, remaining horse, all alone. So we’re going to pick them both up tomorrow – hopefully in the morning. The 3rd horse, a mare, has a home to go to but will be here for a couple of weeks awaiting transport. I can’t wait to get him here – he’s got burrs all in what little mane and tail he does have.

These are two lucky horses – their New Year is starting off with a whole new start of life! If anyone would like to help sponsor the gelding it would be greatly appreciated. I’m going to call Dr. Ryan in the am and try to have him out as soon as we get the horses to the rescue. I’ll update again tomorrow afternoon or evening.

Sincerely,
Theresa
